INFORMATION FOR PERFORMERS

Acoustic Routes is not for beginners. There are many open mic nights for those just starting out and there is information about many of these on the Gig Guide. Our standard is very high and we only have slots for a small number of the many soloists and groups that want to play. However, I do listen to every demo.

Acoustic Routes is non profit making and run by musicians for musicians. We aim to give performers a chance to play non-mainstream music in a small concert setting to an audience that listens. We encourage a wide range of music - roots, folk, world, blues and alt-country have all been featured. Although the music is mainly acoustic, electric instruments and drums can be played at low volume.

The room holds 50 people and is usually full. We provide a high quality PA system with foldback and a sound engineer experienced with acoustic music.

We do not require performers to bring their own audience, nor do we share out the door money according to who the audience has come to see.

Demos can be sent to the address below but please make contact by e-mail before sending.

All enquiries about Acoustic Routes should be made by e-mail to Bernard Hoskin or by phoning 07971 299659.

Please Note: Do not send MP3s by email or add me to your mailing list! I get hundreds of emails already and don't need any more, thanks. Please keep in mind that I am getting a large number of enquiries so I may not deal with yours straight away. The Acoustic Routes concerts have no connection with CB2 other than using the venue so do not send mail to them.
