Hicks & Goulbourn

Cambridge Folk Festival
Iím sorry to announce that due to changes at the Cambridge Folk Festival there will be no more Acoustic Routes sessions in the Club Tent.

Itís been a wonderful 20 years for us, full of great music. A big thank you goes to all the team members past and present, some of whom started out in the Club Tent and went on to be comperes on Main Stage One.

A big thank you also to all the amazing singers and musicians who created so many outstanding memories for all of us. Our acts included Amy Wadge, an unknown at the time, but she went on to write a Grammy winning song with Ed Sheeran.

We wish the festival well with whatever plans they have for the stage. We shall miss the Club Tent and I like to think that we shall be missed too.

Relaunch at Thrive

Despite a very successful relaunch there will no more Acoustic Routes concerts at Thrive Cafe for now. We hope we will be able to return to the basement one day, but only when it is safe to do so.

It was well worth the effort of starting up again as we had two great gigs and it was wonderful to catch up with so many people from the old CB2 days. If anyone knows of a potential venue for us please get in touch.

Please sign up for the new Acoustic Routes mailing list even if you were on the old list. We don't share our list with anyone else and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Cambridge Acoustic Nights have relaunched their open stage gigs at Thrive.

You can watch videos of complete songs from many of our concerts on the video page.
You can also watch them on YouTube. We have now had over half a million views.

Acoustic Routes was started by singer/songwriter Bernard Hoskin in 2001 to present the finest acoustic music in a small concert setting. The concerts took place in the intimate basement at CB2 restaurant near the centre of Cambridge and presented some of the finest national and international performers around.

It established a reputation as one of the finest small venues in the country and featured performers such as Gordon Giltrap, Nizlopi, Martyn Joseph, Boo Hewerdine, Richard Digance, Gigspanner, Chris Difford, Andy Irvine, Christine Collister, Benny Gallagher, Clive Gregson, Phil Beer
and many more, plus special guest appearances by Hank Marvin and Seth Lakeman.

The Acoustic Routes team continue to run a session in the Club Tent at the Cambridge Folk Festival.
